It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of Joanne (Briggs) Kenyon, age 64, of Exeter, who earned her heavenly wings on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. She was the beloved wife of David W. Kenyon and the daughter of Joan M. (Howard) Briggs and the late James E. F.

Dear Council 94 Family, 

It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of Stephen Anthony Grimes, 61, of South Kingstown, who earned his heavenly wings on March 3, 2023.  He was the loving husband of Wendy Grimes.

Stephen was employed by The University of Rhode Island for many years and was a graduate of South Kingstown High School.  He will be sorely missed by many. 

It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of Gwendolyn George, 68, of Newport, who earned her heavenly wings on September 8, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late, Perlie John George.

Gwen was employed by the Newport Police Department for 38 years. She was also a long time, City of Newport, Local 911 Board Member. She was beloved by the Newport community and will be sadly missed by many.

 It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of Ruth Pearson, former member of Local 2231.  Ruth passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022.  Ruth was a secretary for the Burrillville School Department before retiring.  Her daughter, Heather Farrell, is a current member of Local 2231. She will be sorely missed by family, friends and co-workers.

It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of John H. Lyman, Alexis (Lexi) Lyman’s father. John earned his heavenly wings on February 13, 2022. He will by lovingly remembered by his wife, Sharon, their children, Zachary J. Lyman and Alexis E. Lyman (Lexi) and grandchildren, Gavin and Khai. He will also be missed by many family members and friends.

It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of Sheila Dulleh, Local 1293, who earned her heavenly wings on January 12, 2022. She was pre-deceased by her father, Abraham Dulleh and will be lovingly remembered by her mother Cynthia Stevens, her children Loveton (Velvida), Jonathan Jr., Maceta, Elijah, Jaydin, Josiah, Simeon (Cecilia), Joan (James); grandchildren: LJ, Liam, Celeste, Jamel, Nathan, Noel, Edna, Darlene, Diana, Derrick Jr. She will also be missed by her siblings and a host of family and friends.
