 It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of Gregory P. Peters who passed on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.  Gregory was the brother of Anthony Peters, President of Local 2878, Rhode Island College.

 Greg worked for Mearthane Products as a driver.

 He will be sorely missed by everyone.  We extend our sympathies to Anthony and his family.

 His funeral arrangements were private.

It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of Brother Carl Zambrano, who passed on Friday, August 27, 2021.

Brother Zambrano was a dedicated and hardworking union member of RI Council 94, AFSCME, Department of Health, Local 2870, before retiring in 2017.

He worked in the Medical Examiner’s Office.

It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of Brother Edward F. Taylor III, 60, who passed on Saturday, August 21, 2021.

Brother Taylor was a dedicated, hardworking union member and former President of RI Council 94, AFSCME, Narragansett Bay Commission, Local 1010, before retiring in 2020.

Edward will be sorely missed by everyone.

It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of Brother James “Jim” E. McDonald, 66, who passed on Saturday, July 24, 2021.

Brother Jim McDonald was a dedicated and hardworking union member of RI Council 94, AFSCME, University of Rhode Island, Local 528.

He worked as a University of Rhode Island Police Officer and retired as a Lieutenant.

 Jim will be sorely missed by everyone.

It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of Brother Stephen A. Kruwell, 33, who passed on Monday, March 1, 2021.

Brother Stephen Kruwell was a dedicated and hardworking union member of RI Council 94, AFSCME, Narragansett Bay Commission, Local 1010.

He worked as an Asset Management Assistant.

Stephen will be sorely missed by everyone.

Brother Dennis O’Grady was a dedicated and hardworking union member of RI Council 94, AFSCME, University of Rhode Island, Local 528, before retiring in 2015.

He worked in the Facilities Department.

Dennis will be sorely missed by everyone.

It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of Brother Michael Lapisky, 76, who passed on Monday, January 4, 2021.

He retired in 2008 as Chief of the Division of Fish and Wildlife. Brother Lapisky was a former Executive Vice President for RI Council 94, AFSCME and former President of Local 2881, Department of Environmental Management.

Michael will be sorely missed by everyone.
