Legislative & Political Action

Almost every aspect of the wages, benefits, and working conditions of our public employee/private sector jobs are influenced and/or established through legislative and political processes.

In order to impact municipal and state government laws/ordinances and public policy, Council 94 employs a Legislative Affairs/Political Action Coordinator.
The best defense against attacks on jobs, wages, and pensions is an active and informed membership.

Please sign up for email and/or text message updates on ongoing issue, legislative, and membership mobilization campaigns.

Political Action Teams

Political Action Teams members (PATs) help elect candidates that support working families. PATs play a vital role in mobilizing over 10,000 union members, retirees and families on Election Day to support candidates running for school committee, town council, city council, state representative, state senator or any other public office. Additionally, PATs help lobby local elected officials on important legislative issues.

After the form is completed/submitted, Council 94 staff will contact you with volunteer opportunities as they are scheduled.
