William Gladstone Davis

Brothers and Sisters,

It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of William Gladstone Davis, 59, of Cranston, RI who earned his heavenly wings on March 4, 2022. Born to Doris E. Davis and R. Eugene Davis, Sr., William grew up in the Providence School system, and graduated from Alternate Learning Project High School. Growing up he was involved in Boy Scouts, Martial Arts, and held multiple part-time jobs. After HS, he worked as a DJ at WBRU for several years, following which he attended a technical school in MA, studying Engineering, and later attending CCRI, studying Computer Science.

He began working at Eleanor Slater Hospital as a Psychiatric Institutional Attendant and worked there for approximately 35 years and was still employed there at the time of his passing. He was heavily involved in Local 1350 and was on the Executive Board. Previously, to holding an Executive Board position, he was a steward for the Local. During his time as a board member, he was nominated to travel to various states in the country to endorse political candidates a national political canvasser.

He is survived by a sister, Carolynne Davis, a brother, R. Eugene Davis, Jr, and multiple other family and friends and everyone at Council 94 and Local 1350.
