Fight for a Fair Budget 2010
On Thursday, April 8th, the House Finance Committee passed the Supplemental Budget H-7105 A. The House of Representatives is expected to vote on the bill on Tuesday, April 13th. The Senate Finance Committee and floor votes will occur by the end of the week.
The Supplemental Budget contains harmful proposals that caps state employees’ pension Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA), invades the scope of municipal collective bargaining, and reduces education funding.
Our members have made many sacrifices through concessions, pay reductions, higher health insurance co-shares, lay-offs and two rounds of changes to state employees’ pensions.
Enough is enough!
Council 94 state and municipal members are encouraged to come to the State House for Legislative Action Days on April 12 and April 13 from 3:00 -6:30 P.M.
